Andrea Vargas, LMHC, RPT-S is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, a Certified FirstPlay Practitioner, Qualified Supervisor for MHC Interns. She is also the South Chapter Chair for The Florida Association for Play Therapy.
Andrea has specialized in child and adolescent counseling since 2006. She has been in private practice since 2012, her office is located in Weston, Florida where she serves children of all ages, teens, and their families, as well as college students. Andrea is bi-lingual and offers therapy sessions in both English and Spanish. Due to COVID-19, Andrea is currently offering sessions online.
Adoption is a passion both personal and professional, Andrea is EMDR-trained and uses Theraplay informed interventions to help heal trauma and strengthen the attachment and bond between parents and their children.
