A Transformational, Hands-On EMDR Experience

When trauma doesn’t fit neatly into words, EMDR can still move.

EMDR Playground Immersion helps EMDR-trained clinicians work more confidently with children, teens, and clients with complex trauma through play, sandtray, movement, art, sound, somatic work, symbolism, and relational attunement all while staying grounded in the 8 phases.

Available in person and virtually, this experiential training gives you practical tools, a stronger clinical map, and more confidence when sessions feel complex, unclear, or stuck.

Learn From and With Leaders in Our Field

Presenters:

This isn’t about collecting more techniques. It’s about learning when, why, and how to bring play, movement, sandtray, symbolism, culture, and the body into EMDR with clinical purpose.

Learn alongside clinicians who are bringing developmentally responsive, creative, and embodied approaches into trauma treatment—while staying connected to EMDR fidelity, the 8 phases, and the AIP model.

  • Jessica Crunkleton (Saturday Keynote

Cultural Wisdom in Play: Integrating Play Therapy, Sandtray, and EMDR for Trauma Healing

Culture, identity, story, and symbolism are always in the room. Jessica will explore how cultural humility, sandtray, play therapy, nervous system safety, meaning-making, and relational connection can deepen trauma healing within EMDR.

  • Jackie Flynn

Using Play Therapy in EMDR with Children and Adolescents: Readiness, Regulation, and Fidelity

Play belongs in EMDR with intention not simply because it feels creative. Explore how play can support readiness, regulation, Phase 2 preparation, pacing, emotional safety, and processing while staying grounded in the 8 phases and AIP model.

  • Jodie Keeso

The Stories Beneath the Symptoms: Case Conceptualization in EMDR Using IFS and Play Therapy with Complex Childhood Trauma

Go beneath the behaviors to understand what symptoms may be protecting. Explore protective parts, survival responses, attachment wounds, dissociation, co-regulation, symbolic communication, and the stories children may not yet have words to tell.

  • Katie Miller

Embodied Healing in Play and Movement: Somatic Movement, Yoga, Play Therapy, and EMDR for Trauma Healing

Healing doesn’t happen only through words. Experience how movement, breath, body awareness, yoga-informed practices, and play can support preparation, regulation, stabilization, trauma processing, and integration all with clinical intention and EMDR fidelity.

  • Brooklyn Hancock

EMDR With Teens: Developmentally Attuned Play Therapy in Practice

What happens when a teen shuts down, jokes, avoids, resists, disconnects or simply says, “I don’t know”? Explore developmentally attuned approaches that support agency, regulation, pacing, connection, and meaningful engagement throughout EMDR therapy.

Come for the learning. Leave with a stronger clinical map, practical tools you can actually use, and greater confidence bringing EMDR to life with children, teens, and families.
