Sabra Starnes is a passionate play therapist who has being doing play therapy for 18 years in the DMV area. She is the owner of Next Place Therapy Services in Largo, Maryland. Sabra’s area of expertise is in adoption and attachment play based therapies. She is an transracial adoptee and adoptive mother who often speaks on her personal and professional adoption experience. Sabra is an independent Clinical Social Worker licensed in Maryland and Washington, DC.
As a Maryland Board Supervisor and Registered Play Therapy Supervisor, she provides clinical and play therapy supervision. Her private practice is an approved provider for the Association of Play Therapy. Sabra is an engaging and creative play therapy trainer who provides play therapy webinars and workshops for mental health clinicians. Sabra received her Master’s in social work form Catholic University and her Master’s in Education from American University.
