Joanna is originally from Toronto, Canada. After completing her M.Ed specializing in developmental psychology, she moved to Calgary, Alberta where she is currently a provisional psychologist and play therapist for CUPS Calgary Society, a non-profit organization in Calgary, Alberta, where she works with vulnerable families with children between the ages of 0-6. Joanna is also working with the Action Team for Triadic Attachment and Child Mental Health (ATTACH) through the University of Calgary to build reflective functioning skills of caregivers and promote a healthy attachment between caregivers and children. Joanna is the co-founder of Psyched About Kids Inc., which provides services, workshops and products to parents and teachers and aims to promote healthy early brain development. Joanna recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts as a post-graduate fellow in infant-parent mental health under the supervision of Dr. Ed Tronick.
