My name is Dora Henderson. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and currently the owner of A Safe Space Counseling LLC 9private practice) I worked as a District Mental Health Counselor for the school system for 5 years and was a grief counselor for Stoneman Douglas Highschool. I have worked in agency work for a few years, at Aspire , formally- Seminole Behavioral Healthcare. Prior to this I was a preschool teacher for 3 and 4 year olds, thus the journey to becoming a Play Therapist was an easy one for me as children have always been my passion.
I am a children's author and wrote the story of The Adventures of Sandi and Clammy and have puppets that go with the story. This children story helps with coping with grief and loss as well as increasing self-esteem.
I have been married for 33 years and have 3 adult children and now a grandmother.
