Let Me Introduce You to Waldo Winborn
Waldo Winborn, LPCC, RPT, RST-C/T, is a licensed professional clinical counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified/Trainer in Sand Therapy through the World Association for Sand Therapy Professionals. Based in New Mexico, Waldo brings decades of experience in trauma-focused work with children and families. He is also an EMDR Consultant-in-Training and a recognized clinical supervisor by both the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board and the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners.
Waldo is the co-founder of Winborn Wellness & Counseling, where he and his partner have built a multi-county agency offering trauma-informed care across Southern New Mexico. His work is rooted in presence, depth, and creative integration. He teaches extensively on EMDR, Sand Therapy, Play Therapy, and attachment-based work, and serves as a long-time consultant for the New Mexico Early Education and Care Department's SEED program. Waldo is known for his soulful, grounded approach to clinical education and his deep commitment to healing across generations.
