Theresa Fraser, CYC-P, CPT-S, MA, RP, RCT, is a trauma specialist and Canadian Play Therapy Supervisor with a strong international presence in the field. She is the owner of Maritime Play Therapy Centre in Nova Scotia, offering foundational and continuing education for play therapists, and also runs Changing Steps Child and Family Counselling in Prince Edward Island and Ontario. Theresa is well known for her Sandtray work across the lifespan and was honored in 2021 by becoming a member of the Lowenfeld Trust.

Theresa and her husband were treatment foster parents for nearly thirty years and are adoptive parents. Her clinical work draws from EMDR, Brainspotting, SSP, and Theraplay-informed approaches. She is also a consultant for children's mental health programs and provides supervision across modalities. In 2022, she co-authored The Embodied Brain and Sandtray Therapy: Stories of Healing and Transformation with Rita Grayson. Her work bridges research, experience, and heartfelt dedication to systems of care for children and families.
