Let Me Introduce You to Alzi
Alzi Faubion, LPC, RPT, is a seasoned play therapist with over 43 years of experience supporting children and families across the United States, Portugal, and Brazil. Early in her career, she taught developmental psychology at the university level in Brazil, bringing an educator’s insight into her clinical work. For ten years, she led the Children Therapy Center of Georgia, a thriving private practice where she designed and built seven fully equipped play therapy rooms and mentored a team of dedicated child therapists.
In 2023, Alzi co-founded Discovery Play alongside Dr. Grant and now serves as Partner and Clinical Director. She currently provides supervision to 17 provisional therapists, including seven working toward their Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. Known for her warmth, wisdom, and leadership, Alzi continues to shape the next generation of play therapists with clarity, presence, and heart.
