Dr. Becki Welsh is an Assistant Professor at Colorado Christian University and Founder and Co-Executive Director at 316 Counseling Center in McKinney, TX. She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and her M.Ed. in Professional Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas and Colorado, a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor, and an EMDR-certified trauma specialist. She is an educator, practitioner, researcher, advocate, mentor, and supervisor for counselor licensing and play therapy. She developed the Needs-Connection Model™ that helps parents and therapists understand and meet needs for better relationships.
Becki lives in McKinney, Texas, with her husband, Greg, and their two Labradoodles, Levi and Sophie.
I offer training in play therapy and in implementing the Needs-Connection Model™. I also have a subscription service for professionals to access resources and new monthly content related to play therapy, working with parents and trauma work
