Diana is a licensed clinical social worker approved supervisor through the Florida board of mental health professions, a registered play therapist supervisor through the national association for play therapy, a certified trauma focused behavioral therapist and fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and The Gottman Method for Couple's therapy. Diana has more than ten years of experience providing psychotherapy to the South West Florida Community, and most of her experience consisted in working with children and families.
In 2015 Diana cofounded Sunshine State Counseling Center with the purpose of providing quality mental health services to children, adults, couples and families. Currently, the center counts with two locations, a group of ten psychotherapists, student interns and administration staff. Most of the therapists are currently trained in play therapy, EMDR and TFCBT, and comfortably provide services in English and Spanish. Sunshine State Counseling Center is proud to serve insured and private pay clients, children in foster care, immigrants and overall everyone in need of Outpatient Mental Health Services.
