Let Me Introduce You to Waldo
Waldo Winborn, LPCC, RPT, RST-C/T, is a professional counselor based in New Mexico with decades of experience in behavioral health, specializing in trauma therapy for children and families. He is a Registered Play Therapist, an EMDR Consultant-in-Training, and a Registered Sand Therapist – Certified/Trainer through the World Association for Sand Therapy Professionals. Waldo is also a recognized clinical supervisor through both the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board and the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners.
In 2009, Waldo co-founded Winborn Wellness & Counseling alongside Renee Winborn, LCSW, growing the agency into a multi-county provider of trauma-informed care across Southern New Mexico. He is passionate about education and regularly facilitates professional trainings in Sand Therapy, EMDR, Play Therapy, and attachment-based interventions. Waldo also serves as a long-standing consultant with the New Mexico Early Education and Care Department’s SEED program, supporting the development of trauma-informed care practices for children and families.
