Joanna “Jo” Piekarski is a Registered Psychologist based in Calgary and the Co-Founder of Psyched About Kids Inc., a private practice dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families. She has completed specialized fellowship training in Infant-Parent Mental Health and currently serves as a Master Trainer at the University of Calgary for the ATTACH Parenting Intervention Research Project.

With a deep passion for play therapy, early brain development, and attachment-based practice, Jo is committed to helping children and caregivers build stronger connections and thrive. She brings warmth, creativity, and evidence-informed approaches to her work with families and professionals alike. Recently, she launched a YouTube channel for preschoolers focused on social-emotional learning, helping young children build emotional awareness, regulation, and relationship skills through engaging content.

Outside of her professional life, Jo enjoys exploring new food experiences, travelling, and spending time playing with her cats.
