Paris Goodyear-Brown, PhD, LCSW, RPT-S, is the creator of TraumaPlay™, an attachment-grounded, flexibly sequential play therapy model designed to support traumatized children and their caregivers. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Paris is an internationally recognized play therapist, speaker, author, and trainer dedicated to helping children and families heal through connection, creativity, and trauma-informed care.
Paris is the Executive Director of the TraumaPlay Institute, the Clinical Director of Nurture House, an Approved EMDR Consultant, a guest lecturer with Vanderbilt University, and President-Elect of TNAPT. She is also a TED Talk speaker, master clinician, and prolific writer whose work has influenced trauma therapists around the world. Her newest book, Big Behaviors in All Containers: 105+ Trauma-Informed Play Therapy Interventions for Working with Dysregulated Children and Their Dysregulated Grown-Ups, launched during Play Therapy Week and continues to support clinicians and caregivers working with children experiencing dysregulation and trauma.
