THE CONNECTION CONTINUUM
THE ATTACHMENT WORK CARD DECK
Created by Jackie Flynn
The Connection Continuum card deck was made for the moments when connection feels unclear, when someone is reaching, withdrawing, or bracing… not to force repair, but to offer enough safety to notice what’s here and stay in relationship.
WHAT THE CARDS INVITE
Attachment happens in layers.
And safety is often found indirectly, through image, metaphor, and play.
These cards trace the relational shifts many clients recognize,
even when they don’t know how to explain them.
Each card is an opening…
a pause to breathe, to notice, to return.
In attachment work, clients often struggle to talk about relationship patterns, even when something important is happening.
This supports clients to:
explore closeness and distance without judgment
notice patterns in attachment safely
name what feels steady or strained in relationships
work with rupture and repair gently
track safety, regulation, and relational movement
build coherence through symbol and reflection
strengthen resilience through felt sense and imagination
Because connection isn’t a straight line. And one image can open a whole inner world.
